While Fungisil has instructions that come with it and on its website we've found that by adding these additional steps to the core Fungisil treatment results were remarkably more noticeable with those suffering from thickend nails.
(Optional) - Gently wash nails in warm water for 5 minutes or so. Then proceed to file a thin layer off the nail. This will allow the treatment to get into the nail. Please do not file more than a thin layer of nail off or if you have discression please ask a doctor. Injury may result from overfiling!
Use this technique with tough, brittle, or thick nails where treatment may not be absorbed well.
(Optional) - Soak feet in white vinegar for 30 minutes. Seriously if you've got the time in the evening while watching tv or reading the paper this soak will neutralize fungal growth and spread. It's just an extra little trick we can use to combat fungus.
Keep your hands and feet dry and clean throughout the day to avoid creating the perfect environment for optimal fungal growth.
Apply Fungisil twice during the day. Preferably once in the morning before putting socks on and once in the evening before bed.
Use a cotton swab to get Fungsil into the cuticle of the affected nails.
